Baltimore Records Lowest Monthly Homicide Rate in Modern History

In April, Baltimore recorded its lowest number of monthly homicides in modern history. The city has seen a significant decrease in violent crime, with only five homicides in April, all related to gun violence and involving Black men. Mayor Brandon Scott and Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley attribute the decline to the efforts of the Baltimore Police Department and community violence interruption programs.
