Discovery of Confederate Soldier Skeletons at Colonial Williamsburg

Archaeologists recently discovered four Confederate soldier skeletons from the Battle of Williamsburg in 1862 at Colonial Williamsburg. The remains were found near a Revolutionary War-era gunpowder magazine and were buried in a Christian tradition with their arms crossed.

Renaming of Fort Liberty to Fort Bragg

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth signed a memo to rename Fort Liberty back to Fort Bragg, this time honoring World War II hero Pfc. Roland L. Bragg instead of the Confederate general Braxton Bragg. The renaming was part of an initiative following the George Floyd protests to rename military installations named after Confederate soldiers.
